Ways to Save

You may be able to save money by using Childcare Vouchers, taking advantage of Tax-Free Childcare, or claiming money back through Universal Credit, provided you are using Breakthrough Tuition as childcare while you are working.

Notice Period

We do not charge a registration fee, nor do we require families to commit to lengthy contracts. All we ask is that you give us two weeks' notice should you wish to stop tuition.

Missed Lessons

We understand that children occasionally miss lessons due to illness, school commitments or family circumstances. As teaching time and staffing are arranged in advance, all scheduled lessons remain payable.

Where possible, and with sufficient notice, we will be happy to arrange a catch-up lesson. A small £5 catch-up fee applies to cover the additional staffing required. Catch-up lessons are subject to availability and should normally be taken within 30 days of the original lesson date.

If a catch-up lesson is not required or cannot be arranged, suitable work may be provided for your child to complete at home.

Ofsted Registered

Breakthrough Tuition is an Ofsted-registered childcare provider. This means eligible families may be able to use Tax-Free Childcare, Childcare Vouchers or Universal Credit childcare support to help with the cost of tuition.

Lesson Fees

Our lesson fees are £36 per 70-minute session for English or Maths, and £41 per 70-minute session for Science. Fees are paid monthly in advance.

What the Fee Includes

The fee covers a weekly lesson tailored specifically to your child's individual needs, delivered by a fully qualified and experienced teacher. It also includes lesson preparation, homework, learning resources used during tuition, and regular feedback to help you stay informed about your child's progress.

Please note that the fee does not include the cost of any additional revision guides, textbooks or workbooks that may be recommended to support learning at home.

Enrolment

Getting started with Breakthrough Tuition is simple. We begin with a free assessment, giving us the opportunity to identify your child's strengths, areas for development and learning goals. Following the assessment, we will discuss our recommendations with you and, if you decide to proceed, arrange a suitable lesson time.

Lessons take place at our dedicated Brighouse tuition centre and are delivered by fully qualified, experienced teachers. We aim to provide a safe, supportive and productive learning environment where every child can develop confidence and make progress.

All staff hold enhanced DBS checks, and we operate in accordance with robust safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection procedures.
