The move from primary to secondary school can be a significant step for many students. New subjects, higher expectations and greater independence can sometimes leave children feeling less confident than they once were.

At Breakthrough Tuition, our Key Stage 3 programme is designed to help students build strong foundations for future success, whether they need support to catch up, consolidate key skills, or develop greater confidence in a particular subject.

Following a free assessment, we identify strengths, gaps in learning and areas for development before creating a personalised programme of support tailored to each student's needs. By strengthening understanding, building confidence and encouraging independent learning, we help students make meaningful progress and prepare successfully for the demands of GCSE study.

English Tuition

Our KS3 English tuition helps students develop the reading, writing and analytical skills needed for success across the secondary curriculum. Support may include:

• Reading comprehension and analysis
• Vocabulary development
• Spelling, punctuation and grammar
• Creative and transactional writing
• Literary analysis and essay writing
• Building confidence in written communication

Maths Tuition

Our KS3 maths tuition focuses on strengthening core mathematical understanding while developing problem-solving and reasoning skills. Support may include:

• Number and calculation skills
• Fractions, decimals and percentages
• Algebra and equations
• Geometry and measures
• Data handling and statistics
• Mathematical reasoning and problem solving
